If you’ve ever wondered what Hannibal Buress’s trips are like, good news: Netflix says a feature-length doc called Hannibal Takes Edinburgh hits the streaming service Friday. Skate or Die’s Ryan Ferguson directed the project, which was done in 28 days and details Buress’s 2013 Edinburgh Festival Fringe stop — that’s pre–Cosby comments and pre–Broad City, the same year the comic appeared on High Maintenance and, later, The Eric Andre Show. According to Netflix, the film “blends extended moments from Buress’ pin-sharp observational stand-up with scenes of the comedian waxing philosophic on building his comedy routine, life on the road for a comedian and immersing himself in the Scottish culture.†Weekend plans? Netflix and Buress, if you please.
