Idris Elba and John Ridley (American Crime) are teaming up for Guerrilla, a six-part limited series for Showtime and the U.K.’s Sky Atlantic. Guerrilla follows a couple “whose relationship and values are tested when they liberate a political prisoner and form a radical underground cell in 1970s London.” The drama will focus on the relationship between the couple in the midst of Britain’s widespread, but often ignored black power movement. The lead couple is yet to be cast, while Elba will co-star in an unnamed role —  hopefully as the head of the radical cell, because the man plays criminal mastermind well.
