Their other superpower … is angst. According to Variety, Freefom has ordered Marvel’s Cloak and Dagger straight to series. The show will focus on the titular duo, Tandy Bowen and Tyrone Johnson, during their teenage years, during which they “find themselves burdened and awakened to newly acquired superpowers while falling in love.†While Bowen emits “light daggers†and Johnson wields control over darkness, they fight crime as a duo … with benefits. No writer has been attached to Cloak and Dagger yet, though if Freeform were able to retroactively use the massive quantity of teen fanfiction this show is going to generate, it could easily run until the sun burns out.Â
