Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg are looking to the work of Garth Ennis again for their next TV project. According to Deadline, Rogen, Goldberg, and Supernatural creator Eric Kripke are now developing Ennis’s graphic novel The Boys as a television series for Cinemax. Kripke will write the adaptation, which “is set in a time where most of the superheroes are corrupted by their celebrity status and often engage in reckless behavior, compromising the safety of the world. It centers on a CIA squad, known informally as ‘the boys,’ whose job is to keep watch on the proliferation of superheroes and, if necessary, eliminate some of them.†Rogen and Goldberg most recently developed Ennis’s Preacher for AMC, and it’s set to debut on the network next month.
