Welcome to the entertainment, here now are the facts: After being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last night, Steve Miller had a few thoughts about how the organization had tried to, well, take his money and run. “This whole process is unpleasant,†he told reporters in the press room. “[It] needs to be changed from the top to the bottom.†He accused the organization of “trying to steal footage,†as the ceremony will be aired on HBO on April 30, while “I don’t have any of my paperwork signed, I have no agreements with these people.†No joke, Miller also complained about the extreme cost of attending the ceremony:

When they told me I was inducted they said, “You have two tickets — one for your wife and one for yourself. Want another one? It’s $10,000 — sorry that’s the way it goes.†What about my band? What about their wives? They make this so unpleasant.

When interrupted by a publicist, Miller decided to fly like an eagle:

No, we’re not going to wrap this up — I’m going to wrap you up. You go sit down over there and learn something. Here’s what you need to know: This is how close the show came to not happening because of the way the artists are being treated right now. So I’ll wrap it up.

It’s Macho City, population Steve Miller.
