A new late night show is in the works at TV Land. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the network has given a series order to a weekly, half-hour late night show produced by Funny or Die called Throwing Shade, which is based on Erin Gibson and Bryan Safi’s podcast of the same name. The series will feature “social commentary and funny skits, and like the podcast, will cover current issues including pop culture and politics and treat them ‘with much less respect than they deserve.’” Gibson and Safi will host and serve as co-executive producers, and Charlie Siskel (Tosh.0, Review) will serve as showrunner. The series will debut sometime next year.
