The Muppets reboot is no more. According to Entertainment Weekly, ABC has officially canceled The Muppets after 16 episodes. The series debuted on the network back in September and wrapped up its run in March. Originally it was intended as an Office-style mockumentary helmed by Big Bang Theory’s Bill Prady and Anger Management’s Bob Kushell, then Galavant’s Kristin Newman was brought in as showrunner midseason in an attempt to retool the show. Unfortunately, the retooling wasn’t enough for the show to get another season on the network.
