Guwop has been freed: After more than two years in federal prison, Gucci Mane was released on Thursday in Atlanta, TMZ reports. Following his release, which came four months early, Gucci will reportedly spend several months on house arrest, after which he’ll be put on probation. The rapper and Spring Breakers star had been serving time for drugs and weapons charges, though he remained just as prolific behind bars as he did out running Atlanta hip-hop, releasing a dozen mixtapes and even announcing his autobiography. (Don’t even bother questioning how.) His girlfriend, Keyshia Ka’oir, was the first to share the news on Snapchat, with video revealing a significantly more in-shape Gucci than the one who entered prison two years ago. Needless to say, this summer just got a helluva lot chillier. Brrr!
