Dick Wolf’s dream of a perfected televisual version of Chicago is nearly complete: NBC has picked up Chicago Justice. It’s the fourth Chicago show in Dick Wolf’s stable, after Chicago P.D., Chicago Med, and Chicago Fire. The project, which was originally titled Chicago Law, stars Philip Winchester, Carl Weathers, Nazneen Contractor, Joelle Carter, and Ryan-James Hatanaka. Justice follows the beleaguered members of the State’s Attorney’s office, and it began with a backdoor pilot on Chicago P.D., which aired last night. Now, with all of Chicago’s basic government services up and running, it’s time to focus on quality of living: When do we get Chicago Postal Service, Chicago Zoning Commission, and Chicago DMV? (It won’t be as painful when it’s run by Taylor Kinney.)
