Accordingly, the West Wing creator, whose relationship with the internet is best described as “fraught,†announced on Wednesday that he had teamed up with the MasterClass program to offer a $90 online screenwriting course this summer, complete with “5+ hours of video lessons†and a “downloadable workbook.†Not to be outdone, Jonathan Franzen announced his own new career as a social-media guru.
