A bunch of people touring Walt Disney’s childhood home in Chicago over the weekend had a jolly holiday with him, Bert, thanks to a very memorable tour guide of sorts: Dick Van Dyke. The Mary Poppins star was visiting the site to mark the near-completion of the entrance’s restoration when he realized that no man with such mirth could attend an event of such joy without spontaneously busting out into song. Joining together a bunch of people who knew the lyrics impressively well, Van Dyke led a group sing-a-long of the tune “Let’s Go Fly a Kite†from the Disney classic. The moment was textbook Bert, ever in charge of morale. Dick Van Dyke: going to fly kites without contempt since 1964.
