Have yourself a little film festival. Today, Netflix announced that it is making seven movies written and directed by Albert Brooks available to stream for the first time on July 1, in addition to all those other titles going up on the site. The selections are Defending Your Life, Looking for Comedy in the Muslim World, Lost in America, Modern Romance, Mother, The Muse, and Real Life, and seriously, if you haven’t watched Modern Romance and Defending Your Life, your weekend plans need to change. Brooks also taped a video for the announcement, which will help kids raised on Finding Nemo understand why a clownfish is making them happy-sad.
