Bona fide space-heads Ron Howard, Bill Broyles, and Brian Grazer (Apollo 13’s director, writer, and producer, respectively) are reteaming for another deep beyond-bound movie. Per Deadline, the team is adapting Neal Stephenson’s sci-fi novel Seveneves. In the book, a catastrophic event renders Earth unlivable, and people must migrate to outer space to survive. Five thousand years later, their very changed descendants “embark on another audacious journey to an alien world utterly transformed by cataclysm and time: Earth.†So … basically the plot of WALL-E, but live-action and with that classic Ron Howard–Bill Broyles–Brian Grazer touch.
