Two of the most famous funny internet people you’ve maybe never heard of are attempting to prove their comedy cred to the old guard. They’re going live! Smosh, the YouTube comedy duo of Ian Hecox and Anthony Padilla, are launching a live variety show on YouTube, Variety reports. Smosh Live! will be an hourlong variety and sketch-comedy show livestreamed from the YouTube Space in L.A for one time only. They’ll bust out four or five skits, a dance number, and a bunch of their (internet) famous friends — plus a pre- and post-show. And who says we don’t need another variety show? Once it airs live, the show will exist post-broadcast on YouTube for you to watch on demand, like everything else on the internet. Also announced at VidCon 2016: Smosh are getting still another movie for the kids to stream to death. They’ve already got one proven hit, 2015’s Smosh: The Movie (yes, really), under their belts. Now YouTube Red is giving them a pseudo-sequel, in which Padilla is haunted by his new roommate, an actual self-centered ghost (Hecox). And now you’re thoroughly spooked.
