As we’ve said before, Supergirl is the best live-action Superman story being made today. We only meant that thematically, as Superman hasn’t really been a character in the series. Sure, Big Blue has made offscreen cameos via online messages, and we saw his feet one time, but that’s been it for the Man of Steel, who is the titular hero’s otherworldly cousin. But Kara Zor-El will get a long-overdue family reunion: Warner Bros. has announced that Supes will appear on Supergirl next season, which will debut on the CW after a move from CBS. The creators are apparently still in the casting process for this next incarnation of the superhero icon. Hey, Patrick Dempsey’s been out of a steady TV job for a while …
