Greg Berlanti shows are built on a firm foundational philosophy: Everything is more fun to watch if you have sexy people being sexy. This principle has appeared to inform the casting of protagonist Kara Zor-El’s cousin, Superman, on Supergirl. Tyler Hoechlin, who has inflamed viewers of Teen Wolf and the inadvertently gay Everybody Wants Some!! will step into Supes’s red underwear next season. So far, Big Blue has only been seen in silhouette or partially in frame, but now we will all get to stare at his pretty face.
