More than 20 years after the murder of Tupac Shakur, a new trailer for the long-overdue All Eyez on Me is reexamining the rapper’s life and legacy. The biopic — which was reportedly first delayed over song-licensing issues — follows Tupac from his education by Black Panthers to his rise in hip-hop, through to the 1996 drive-by shooting that killed him. Benny Boom directed All Eyez on Me, while Demetrius Shipp Jr. stars as Tupac. The newest trailer offers a better look at Jamal Woolard as the Notorious B.I.G. (Woolard also played the role in Notorious; unified cinematic universes abound), and also features Stefon Washington as Puff Daddy, Kat Graham (The Vampire Diaries) as Jada Pinkett, and Danai Gurira (The Walking Dead) as Afeni Shakur, Tupac’s late mother. Watch the latest look at the man behind a changing movement above, with the first three trailers below.
