Katy Perry had the thematic campaign song of the night, singing her empowerment tune “Rise†during the final evening of the DNC. The moment marks Perry’s first major performance of the Olympic single since it debuted two weeks ago. Perry also performed known Hillary-favorite “Roar,†in addition to giving a speech explaining her support for Clinton. She said: “Both of my parents are pastors and staunch Republicans. I didn’t finish high school and, unfortunately, I don’t have a formal education, but I do have an open mind and I have a voice … Here’s how I’m going to use my voice: I’m going to vote for Hillary Clinton.â€
