‘Master of None,’ ‘Childrens Hospital,’ ‘Last Week Tonight,’ and More Nominated for 2016 Emmys

The 2016 Emmy nominations were announced today, there are some surprises as well as some predictable nominees. Black-ish, Master of None, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Veep, Transparent, and SNL are among the shows with multiple noms, while late night newcomers The Late Show with Stephen Colbert and The Daily Show with Trevor Noah were snubbed in the acting/writing categories along with shows like You’re the Worst, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, and Billy on the Street. On the bright side, Kate McKinnon is nominated for her work on Saturday Night Live, Key and Peele and Childrens Hospital’s final seasons got recognition, and Full Frontal with Samantha Bee received its first Emmy nom in the variety series writing category.
