Susan Sarandon, a prototypical Bernie-or-Bust Democrat, is not enjoying the Democratic National Convention, and she is not afraid to show it. While other celebrity Bernie Sanders supporters like Sarah Silverman called for party unity, Sarandon sat in the audience in Philadelphia with a miserable face. One journalist, Ian McKenna, captured the actress huffing in a GIF, and captioned the footage on Twitter, “Susan Sarandon is having literally the worst time at the #DemConvention.” Sarandon didn’t deny the allegations, quoting the post with her signature frankness, “Accurate.”
Sarandon joined Bernie Sanders during his campaign, and has spoken openly about her distrust of presumptive nominee, Hillary Clinton. In an interview back in June, Sarandon said she thought Clinton was “more dangerous than Trump,” and that she feared Clinton would lead the country into “Iran in two seconds.” So, we take it Sarandon isn’t looking to reconcile her breakup with Hillary any time soon.
