In Imperium, Daniel Radcliffe plays a young FBI agent named Nate Foster who goes undercover to infiltrate a white supremacist group. Imperium gives Radcliffe a reverse She’s All That, getting rid of his Clark Kent hair and chic nerd glasses so that he can properly serve neo-Nazi realness. And because this is America, fiction doesn’t stray too far from fact: Imperium is based on the real-life experiences of Michael German, an FBI undercover agent who spent years with nativist right-wing groups in the U.S. and later wrote Thinking Like a Terrorist: Insights of a Former FBI Undercover Agent. Imperium comes out in theaters and on demand August 19.
