DC’s TV output has been remarkably good at honoring its past by casting (all too often ignored) actors from old DC shows like Dean Cain, John Wesley Shipp, Helen Slater, and Laura Vandervoort. But perhaps the highest-profile example will be this fall’s debut of 1970s Wonder Woman icon Lynda Carter on the CW’s Supergirl, where she’ll be playing the U.S. president. Series star Melissa Benoist gave us a first look on her Instagram, and damn, she still looks like an Amazon.
