Does E equal Emmy squared? Geoffrey Rush, the surprisingly Australian actor, has signed on to play Albert Einstein in the National Geographic Channel’s first scripted series, Genius. The first season of the anthology drama, premiering in 2017, follows Einstein’s life from when he was a young patent clerk (where he’ll be played by Johnny Flynn) through his later career (when Rush takes over). Before you get too excited about putting Rush on EGOT watch, know that he’s already won an Emmy. Silly Geoffrey, this isn’t an audiobook!
