Just call this Lizzie McGuire 2.0. (Eh — on second thought, maybe don’t.) Disney Channel has announced that Terri Minsky, the creator of 2000s phenomenon Lizzie McGuire, is returning to the network with a new single-camera family comedy about the highs and lows of being a modern teenage girl. Called Andi Mack, the show follows the titular Andi — played by newcomer Peyton Elizabeth Lee — whose life “is thrown into disarray on the eve of her 13th birthday when her moody sister moves back home.” After two seasons, Andi will travel to Rome, where she’ll impersonate a famous Italian pop star and Vespa around with a handsome fraud named Paolo.
