Just call this Lizzie McGuire 2.0. (Eh — on second thought, maybe don’t.) Disney Channel has announced that Terri Minsky, the creator of 2000s phenomenon Lizzie McGuire, is returning to the network with a new single-camera family comedy about the highs and lows of being a modern teenage girl. Called Andi Mack, the show follows the titular Andi — played by newcomer Peyton Elizabeth Lee — whose life “is thrown into disarray on the eve of her 13th birthday when her moody sister moves back home.†After two seasons, Andi will travel to Rome, where she’ll impersonate a famous Italian pop star and Vespa around with a handsome fraud named Paolo.
