Strong-Jawed Buds Rami Malek and Charlie Hunnam Will Break Out of Prison in a Papillon Remake

And here’s to you, Mr. Robot man, Hollywood’s new Dustin Hoffman. Rami Malek has signed on to play Hoffman’s role in a remake of Papillon, the 1973 movie about a prison break, which also starred Steve McQueen. Charlie Hunnam is playing McQueen’s character, a man who’s unjustly convicted for murder and sent to an island prison, while Malek will play a “quirky counterfeiter†who helps get him out. Michael Noer is set to direct, while Aaron Guzikowski is writing the script for the contemporary retelling. We can only hope that Malek tries on Hoffman’s glasses.
