SNL and Broad City writer Chris Kelly was inspired to write the new film Other People based on the events surrounding his mother’s battle with cancer. So, naturally, casting his mother was especially important. Kelly wound up going with Molly Shannon, who, by all accounts, is fantastic in the film. But he really knew it was a good choice when she invited him to a taco party.
