Netflix, your new criminal-justice system (now with Narcos!), has a clever marketing strategy for its documentary Amanda Knox: two trailers, one painting her as innocent, the other drumming up your suspicions against her. Knox was tried and acquitted twice in Italy for the 2007 murder of her roommate Meredith Kercher, and spent several years in prison while the trials took place. She’s been the subject of media fascination for nearly a decade. Think of the documentary as Arancia Is the New Black, but, you know, more painful and scary and real.
