After three years of work, and four years since her last EP (True, 2012), Solange Knowles is releasing her fourth studio album, A Seat at the Table, this Friday, September 30. Written by Solange and featuring Lil Wayne, the Dream, Q-Tip, and Kelly Rowland, A Seat at the Table is being hyped as the singer’s most personal work to date. Last June, Solange referred to the album on Instagram as, “a project on identity, empowerment, independence, grief, and healing.†The track list seems to reflect those themes with titles like “Interlude: The Glory Is in You,â€Â “Don’t You Wait,â€Â “Don’t Touch My Hair,†and “Where Do We Go.†Coinciding with the album, Solange also unveiled a free digital book of poetry and lyrics on her website, here.
