First The Late, Late Show, then a stint on Black-ish, now an ABC sitcom: Yup, Daveed Diggs is quickly dancing down the staircase into America’s heart, and it’s probably even easier to do now that he doesn’t have to wear velveteen knee breeches. Deadline reports that ABC has made a cast-contingent order for a pilot executive-produced by the former Hamilton star and written by Late Night With Jimmy Fallon staffer Jeremy Bronson. The show follows a down-on-his-luck hip-hop artist who runs for mayor in order to promote his mixtape … only to find himself declared the winner. Diggs is not currently attached to star, but what are they, absolutely insane? Please.
