The election is less than a month out, and we’re still finding out just how deep down the rabbit hole goes. On his live post-debate special, Stephen Colbert investigated one of the latest of Donald Trump’s conspiracies, wherein he suggested that 1.8 million dead people, still registered to vote, would all cast ballots for Hillary Clinton. Now, look, Colbert could’ve tried to debunk Trump’s yarn with facts or figures or whatever such data — or, he could go right to the source, chatting with the deceased Horace McNulty (Hugh Laurie) to clear things up. Well, sucks to suck, because it turns out that even death does not promise salvation from our living hell.
