The Comedians’ co-creator and executive producer Ben Wexler has a new show in the works at ABC. According to Deadline, the network has given a script commitment to a comedy written by Wexler and co-produced by Seth Gordon. The single-cam project centers on “a recently-widowed 60-something guy who teams up with an entrepreneurial 20-something girl to ‘monetize’ his biggest asset — the single-family brownstone he used to share with his wife — renting out the bedrooms to an eclectic group of housemates.†In addition to serving as showrunner on FX’s The Comedians, Wexler has worked as a producer on Community, Arrested Development, and The Michael J. Fox Show.
