Elizabeth Banks is developing two comedy series at NBC and CBS. According to Deadline, NBC has given a script commitment to a single-cam comdy produced by Banks and written by Sam Pitman and Adam Cole-Kelly. The untitled half-hour project follows “a 30-something father who’s trying to navigate his life a year after his wife suddenly dies: how to live, date, parent, etc., all with the unrelenting, unsolicited advice of his in-laws, parents, friends, wife’s friends and nanny — aka his new makeshift family.†Over at CBS, Banks is also producing a family comedy in development by BoJack Horseman co-executive producer Vera Santamaria called Something to Celebrate . Based on the 2015 Spanish series Algo Que Celebrar, the show will focus on a different celebration or gathering each episode.
