On January 8, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association will, as usual, give an award to Meryl Streep. Instead of a Golden Globe, which she has won eight times, Streep is taking home the Cecil B. DeMille Award, which goes out to someone who has made “outstanding contributions to the world of entertainment.†(Okay, she might win a Globe for Florence Foster Jenkins, too.) Last year, Denzel Washington won the DeMille Award, and before him, it has gone to George Clooney, Woody Allen, and Jodie Foster. Now, who could possibly present to Meryl? We say Meryl Streep in disguise as a normal, in her soon-to-be Golden Globe–winning greatest role yet.
