Netflix is seriously beefing up its comedy lineup. After spending millions on two Chris Rock comedy specials in October, the site announced today that it will release three — count ‘em, three — Dave Chappelle comedy specials. Netflix’s order includes one all-new performance to be produced by the service, and two never-before-seen specials from Chappelle’s “personal comedy vaultâ€Â — though Chappelle has started to perform stand-up more often recently and even host SNL, Netflix’s trio of shows will represent the comedian’s first taped concert appearances in 12 years. The specials will all be released simultaneously in 2017, as the world moves from Peak TV to Peak Comedy.
