Thomas Jane and Molly Parker will star in the latest Netflix adaptation of a Stephen King story, 1922. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zak Hilditch will direct the film, which is based on a man’s confession of his wife’s murder. It will be told from the perspective of Wilfred James, the story’s narrator, who admits to killing his wife, Arlette, with his son in Nebraska. But our narrator is unreliable, and after he buries her body, his life begins to unravel. He becomes convinced his wife is haunting him, for good reason. Jane will play Wilfred James, and Parker will play Arlette. Dylan Schmid, Kaitlyn Bernard, Brian D’Arcy James, and Neal McDonough also are starring. This will be Netflix’s second project based on King’s work, because after Stranger Things, Netflix really loves sci-fi.
