To celebrate the release of their new book, photographers Deborah Ory and Ken Browar partnered up with NeueHouse to film ballet dancers in the creative work space’s yet-to-open New York penthouse. Two American Ballet Theatre dancers, soloist Cassandra Trenary, and principal Daniil Simkin, performed on the vast top floor of NeueHouse Madison Square, a destination for entrepreneurs and artists.
The film nods to Ory and Browar’s new coffee-table book The Art of Movement, a 304-page compendium of portraits of over 70 dancers from ABT, New York City Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company, Alvin Ailey, and other dance companies. As founders of NYC Dance Project, the two photographers are known for featuring dancers in their work.
