Mike Pence, let’s just say, didn’t have the best time attending a Hamilton performance in New York last night. He was the recipient of a copious amount of boos and jeers from his fellow attendees — before and during the show — and experienced an emotionally charged, Lin-Manuel Miranda–penned speech directed at him by the cast and crew during the final curtain call. Donald Trump soon got wind of what transpired at the Richard Rodgers Theatre, and the president-elect isn’t throwing away his shot to offer some heated words to the smash Broadway production in regards to Pence’s treatment. His advice to Hamilton? Apologize for their rude behavior, and the sooner the better.

“Our wonderful future V.P. Mike Pence was harassed last night at the theater by the cast of Hamilton, cameras blazing. This should not happen!†he tweeted Saturday morning. “The Theater must always be a safe and special place. The cast of Hamilton was very rude last night to a very good man, Mike Pence. Apologize!†Trump himself has yet to see a performance of Hamilton, and spent Friday continuing to build a team of racists for his cabinet.
