On Monday morning, the girl group’s official Twitter announced Cabello’s departure: “After four years of being together, we have been informed via her representatives that Camila has decided to leave Fifth Harmony. We wish her well.†Billboard reports that Cabello’s contract with Fifth Harmony had expired on the day she informed the group that she was leaving. Though the post also assured fans that the other four members — Ally Brooke, Normani Kordei, Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui — are planning on remaining in Fifth Harmony, anyone who has been burned by a favorite girl or boy band in the past will feel anxiety about this X-Factor-created supergroup’s future.
