Ali Wong Is Writing a Book of Advice to Her One-Year-Old Daughter

Standup Ali Wong is writing her first book. Entertainment Weekly reports that Wong, whose Netflix standup special Baby Cobra debuted last year, is writing a book for Random House that will be “a collection of letters to her one-year-old daughter, offering advice and sharing her own personal experiences.� The book doesn’t yet have a title or release date, but it’s expected to hit stores in 2018. “This is a book about my life offstage,� Wong said on the project. “I’m very excited to share all of these stories about my childhood, dating, and failure that I’ve never been able to tell onstage. I have so many but they are just not right for standup. However, they are perfect for a book and a great way to make people laugh in their own homes… without me having to leave my own home.�
