Man, Carlos Santana’s Beyoncé take was a hot one, and now he’d like to move a few more inches from the midday sun. In an interview with the New Zealand Herald earlier this week, Santana said that he thought that Adele won her album and record of the year Grammys over Beyoncé because “she can sing-sing,†while Bey “is very beautiful to look at and it’s more like modeling kind of music — music to model a dress — she’s not a singer-singer, with all respect to her.†After that not-so-smooth move, Santana issued a sort-of apology to Beyoncé over his comments. “My intent was to congratulate Adele on her amazing night at the Grammies [sic],†he wrote. “My comment about Beyoncé was regretfully taken out of context. I have the utmost respect for her as an artist and a person. She deserves all the accolades that come her way.†Time for the Beygency to call off that hit.
