After a debut season of airing three shows per week, Chelsea Handler’s Netflix talk show, Chelsea, has announced it will be switching to a new hour-long weekly format. (So doing the math, this move cuts the total number of episodes in the second season from 90 to 30.) The streaming service says that the new format, which will air on Fridays, will allow Handler to explore “more in-depth interviews, more robust field pieces, more dinner parties,†and give her the opportunity to travel internationally and investigate deeper subjects that she feels particularly passionate about. The new season is set to premiere on April 14, and for what it’s worth, Handler seems pretty excited about switching things up.
