Ah, ancestors. You never know what you’re going to get when you start digging into your family history, do you? But at least you can seek solace in the fact that your ancestors probably didn’t, you know, murder a reigning English king, as Lisa Kudrow excitedly explained about her dear friend Courteney Cox on The Late Show. “She was hoping that her family were good people, and no one murdered anyone,†Kudrow said about Cox’s recent participation on the show Who Do You Think You Are? in which celebrities discover their family history. “And it turns out her ancestors murdered the King of England.†So was it Edward II, Henry VI, or Edward V on the receiving end of the wrath of the Coxes? Or was Kudrow offering a more liberal reading of the word “murder†when it was really an execution à la Charles I? Either way, we’re intrigued.
