Amy Schumer is a persuasive person, it seems, or so Goldie Hawn feels. At the annual CinemaCon in Las Vegas, Hawn and Schumer submitted themselves to an unfortunately vertically shot smartphone interview that resulted in a moment of — shall we say? — opinion kidnapping. Though the co-stars of the forthcoming mother-daughter comedy Snatched are clearly into one another, it took a little bit of gentle prodding to get Hawn — who has not appeared in a movie in 15 years, since 2002’s The Banger Sisters — to go all in with this particular film. While talking about how much fun she had on the shoot, Hawn said, “It doesn’t compare to any other movie I’ve ever done,†prompting Schumer to prod the veteran actress into calling it her best. Hawn complied: “I’m saying it’s the best. It was great.†So yeah, Goldie Hawn had a great time helping out Amy Schumer, and yeah, Amy Schumer had a great time pushing Goldie Hawn into movie-based martyrdom. Sounds like a mother-daughter relationship to us. Snatched opens May 12 nationwide.
