Sarah Silverman is headed to Hulu with her own show. According to Deadline, the streaming network has ordered a weekly half-hour comedy/talk/variety show starring Silverman called I Love You, America. The series is produced by Funny or Die, and the first season will consist of 10 episodes. Here’s more on the show from Deadline’s report:
From inciting treason to telling poop jokes, Sarah Silverman often has become a lightning rod for pointed online conversation. While she has been open about her political convictions and, like many of her colleagues, has spoken out against President Donald Trump and his policies, the program is designed to be balanced, with her looking to connect with people who may not agree with her personal opinions through honesty, humor, genuine interest in others, and not taking herself too seriously. While it’s great to connect with like-minded people, Silverman feels it’s crucial, now more than ever, to connect with un-like-minded people, creating a show setting out to expose the fact that we are all the same.
Silverman is credited as a co-executive producer on the series alongside Amy Zvi, Will Ferrell, and Adam McKay.
