Saturday Night Live has been pulling back the curtain for people this season, cutting together behind-the-scenes videos of what it takes to put the show together every week. Today, the show released a clip spotlighting a quick change that Kate McKinnon had to make between appearing as Jeff Sessions on “Weekend Update†and as Shud the mer-creature in a sketch that came immediately after. The hair-and-makeup team had just six minutes to transform McKinnon from a mostly human U.S. senator to a mostly blobfish mythical sea dweller. Fortunately for the techs backstage, Sessions and Shud have the same ears.
