Last year, Arnold Schwarzenegger signed on to star in a film written and directed by SNL alum Taran Killam called Why We’re Killing Gunther, and after premiering at Cannes earlier this year, the film now has a premiere date. Now titled Killing Gunther, the movie marks Killam’s directorial debut and follows “a group of eccentric international assassins who become fed up with Gunther, the world’s greatest hitman who also happens to be an arrogant show-off, and decide to kill him. Their master plan, however, quickly turns into a series of embarrassing encounters as Gunther always appears one step ahead.†In addition to Schwarzenegger, the film also features Killam, Bobby Moynihan, Cobie Smulders, Hannah Simone, Paul Brittain, Kumail Nanjiani, Randall Park, Ryan Gaul, and more. Deadline reports that Saban Films has acquired the movie, and Killam announced on Twitter that it’s is slated to hit theaters in October:
