Fox is developing a comedy series about something that we’ve seen way too much of in recent years, and it has some big names attached to make it happen. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fox has given a put-pilot order to a single-cam comedy produced by Michael Showalter and Nahnatchka Khan and written by Son of Zorn’s Sally Bradley McKenna called Revival, which centers on Elliot, “formerly the little kid from a beloved ‘80s family sitcom and now living a normal life, who reluctantly gets sucked back into the show’s revival with his old TV family.†The news comes just a week after it was reported that Fox is in “preliminary conversations†to revive King of the Hill, which means that Fox soon might have both a comedy revival series as well as a comedy series about a comedy revival series.
