Lily Tomlin and Kate McKinnon Are the Frizzle Sisters in the Trailer for Netflix’s ‘Magic School Bus’ Reboot

Earlier this year, SNL’s Kate McKinnon signed on to voice the lead role in Netflix’s reboot of The Magic School Bus, and today the streaming network released the trailer, which reveals the new theme song by Lin-Manuel Miranda plus the return of Lily Tomlin reprising her role from the original series. According to Deadline, McKinnon plays Ms. Frizzle’s (now Professor Frizzle) little sister Fiona, who “has taken over the classroom. Field trips this year are wilder than ever, into the clouds, across the internet, riding the continents – even a plunge into the depths of the Sun itself. And along the way, the kids bring their science investigations into the 21st century.” Check out the Magic School Bus Rides Again trailer above, and catch the rest when the series premieres on Netflix September 29th.
