Lake Bell and New Girl creator Liz Meriwether have teamed up for a new comedy series at Fox. According to Deadline, the network has given a pilot production commitment to a single-cam comedy written by the duo called Bless This Mess, which follows “a newlywed couple — half of it played by Bell — that gives up their drab and unfulfilling lives in NYC and moves to Nebraska to live a simpler life. It doesn’t work out like they planned.†Meriwether and Bell also serve as executive producers on the project alongside New Girl’s Katherine Pope.
