Kristen Wiig has a new TV project in the works. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Apple has given a 10-episode series order to a half-hour comedy starring Wiig and produced by Reese Witherspoon based on Curtis Sittenfeld’s short story collection You Think It, I’ll Say It, which is slated to hit bookstores in April. Not much else is known about the plot of the show, but 30 Rock alum Colleen McGuinness created the TV adaptation and will serve as showrunner and executive producer; Wiig is also credited as an executive producer on the project. Apple reportedly set a $1 billion budget to produce original TV shows and movies in 2017, so we’ll presumably be hearing a lot more Apple development news over the coming months. The Wiig comedy marks Apple’s first half-hour comedy series order.
